Some of the best examples of what we do don’t come from a sales pitch — they come from an actual property with actual problems that needed solving. Here’s one of them.
The Property
Encore Atlantic Shores is a 240-townhome, 55-and-over community in Eastport, NY, with an 11,800 sq. ft. clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts. When the property needed to replace its aging legacy security system, CWC Security specified Paxton’s Net2 platform — chosen specifically for its flexibility to integrate with the multiple systems and networks already running across the site.
The Challenge
Every entry and exit point needed updating — including the front and rear access gates — with parts of the property running on separate networks that had to be brought under one central point of management. The clubhouse also needed permission-based access, since seasonal residents and pool staff don’t need (or shouldn’t have) the same access as full-time residents.
The Solution
CWC Security installed Paxton’s Net2 system across all primary entry points, using triggers and actions to bring the existing relay-controlled gates onto the platform. It was integrated with the property’s video intercom so visitors call the security booth before entry — with every event logged automatically.
The Result
Property management can now issue keyfobs with different access levels, run schedules, and pull reports on exactly who used the clubhouse and when. There are plans in place to expand Net2 to the tennis courts and indoor pool, which currently still use traditional key locks.
