How CWC Security brought gates, clubhouse doors, and a video intercom onto one access control system for a 240-home Eastport community
Project: Encore Atlantic Shores · Eastport, NY · Paxton Net2
We’re proud to share that SDM Magazine, one of the security industry’s leading trade publications, featured CWC Security’s access control work at Encore Atlantic Shores, a 55-and-over community of 240 townhomes in Eastport, NY. The article covers how we replaced the community’s legacy system with Paxton Net2 and brought its gates, clubhouse, and visitor intercom under one platform.

The property
Encore Atlantic Shores is a 240-townhome community with an 11,800 sq. ft. clubhouse that includes a fitness center, indoor pool, spa, ballroom, and game rooms, plus tennis courts and a putting green. With residents, seasonal members, staff, vendors, and visitors all coming and going, controlling who can enter, and when, is a daily job for property management.
The challenge
- The aging legacy security system needed to be replaced.
- Every interior and exterior entry point needed updating, including the front and rear gates.
- Parts of the property ran on separate networks that had to be managed from one central place.
- Seasonal, non-member residents needed permission-based access to the clubhouse pool.
- Pool staff needed their own access to a basement equipment room.
Our solution: Paxton Net2
CWC Security founder Michael Pittakas recommended Paxton’s Net2 platform because it could tie into the systems and networks already running across the community. As a Paxton Silver Partner, our team installed and commissioned Net2 using Paxton’s Installer app.
- Front gate: residents enter with keyfobs.
- Rear gate: the relay-controlled gate used for deliveries and trash pickup was brought onto Net2 with triggers and actions, so the property manager can open it when needed.
- Video intercom: integrated with Net2, so visitors call the security booth before they can enter, and every call is logged as an event.
- Clubhouse and pool: keyfob access levels give seasonal residents, staff, and vendors exactly the access they need, including during low-staffing hours.
The result
Property management now runs the entire community from one system. They can issue and revoke keyfobs, set schedules and access levels, and pull reports on who entered the clubhouse and when.
